Medical emergencies arise suddenly and without warning. That's why you can take comfort in knowing that Lexington Memorial's Emergency Department is available 24-hours-a-day for the treatment of medical, cardiac and trauma situations.

The Emergency Department treats the critically ill and injured first. In addition to emergent care, the Emergency Department offers a Minor Care Track during peak hours to reduce waiting times for those seeking treatment of minor illnesses or injuries.

Therefore, you MAY NOT be seen in the order of arrival. All Emergency Department patients should be assessed by the Triage Nurse within 20 minutes of arrival.
